Hart Care has owned the care home since November 2010, when they purchased what was Ravenscroft Care Home. The owners since 2010 are Richard and Stephen Hart who have over 25 years of experience running successful care homes.
In November 2010, Richard and Stephen Hart purchased what was then Ravenscroft Care Home. They have over 25 years of experience in running successful care businesses. The Home was renamed “Hart Care”.
At the end of 2020 and going into 2021, a significant amount of investment and improvement took place. This was to ensure the long-term safety of our residents, and to help enhance the care we provided.
We admit a range of elderly residents who have different needs and who now require assistance to maintain a good quality of life. Our main focus will always be to sustain our resident’s safety whilst ensuring that choice and dignity is maintained.
Alongside this, we monitor the delivery of care, to ensure that this is consistent and that it improves on an on-going basis. Our quality assurance program is overseen by our Registered Manager who reviews a variety of checks, audits and surveys every week and month, to ensure that minor issues are addressed in good time, so that they never become major problems.
All staff are told from the outset that we operate a culture of responsibility and accountability, and that all staff are held to the same standard.
We invest in our staff. Having good, motivated staff who buy into our culture, equates to great care delivery, and ensures that our residents will always be treated with respect and dignity. We work with our staff via training, supervision, appraisals and staff meetings. Our desire to continually improve also includes our staff getting better and improving their practice.
We work very hard to develop and maintain open and transparent relationships with Devon County Council, District Nurses, the CQC, relatives and our residents.

We maintained very strict visiting protocols throughout the coronavirus pandemic. Although many people have received vaccines and the UK is much more on top of the situation, we will still expect all staff and visitors to adhere to our infection control and visiting protocols. If anyone requires clarification as to what they should do during visits, please contact our Registered Manager.
