Sun shining at Hart Care
It certainly feels like Summer has arrived here at our sunny Devon Care Home!
The past few days have seen some lovely weather and the gardens that surround the home are looking beautiful. This is largely the result of the hard work and creativity of our lovely maintenance man!
We are enjoying frequent visits from the ponies and sheep who live on the surrounding moors. The residents love to see them and they do help to keep the grass down, but we do need to work out a way the fill the gaps in the hedges!
It has to be said that The Moor is looking particularly lovely at the moment, we are so lucky to be surrounded by such spectacular scenery and after the recent lambing season, there are lambs everywhere!
Easter was eventful for us, we had an Easter Egg Hunt which was great fun for staff and residents alike! Our Activities Co-ordinator also arranged several gardening sessions for the residents, planting a variety of seeds that will eventually be transferred to the main gardens.
As the weather heats up we are beginning to plan Summer excursions for the residents including a trip to nearby Buckland Abbey. This is always a popular place to visit because of the wonderful Abbey and surrounding gardens (pictured).
There is a delightful Tea Room too, where residents always enjoy the home baked cakes and scones!
We look forward to updating you on our summer trips soon!« View All news
